Park Terrace Principal Kim Fehringer has accepted a new role as a coordinator in the educational services department. Along with other assignments, she will oversee gifted and talented services. She will continue to serve as principal at Park Terrace through the 2018-2019 school year and will begin her new position July 1, 2019.

“I want to thank the Park Terrace staff, families and students for their ongoing support of me and our school,” Fehringer said. “I feel honored and privileged to have worked at Park Terrace during the past nine years.”

Fehringer has been principal at Park Terrace since fall 2009. She has been a staff member in Spring Lake Park Schools since 1989, serving as a teacher, gifted and talented coordinator and principal. She last served as a gifted and talented coordinator from 2004-2009 and is excited to lead the district in that role again.

“We are thrilled to have Kim’s leadership and expertise in this position,” said Hope Rahn, director of learning and innovation. “She will continue to move the district forward in our gifted and talented services as part of our focus on personalizing learning for each student.”

The search process to hire a new principal will begin immediately. Updates regarding the process will be provided, with the naming of a new principal in the coming months.
