Kindergarten
We are excited to welcome the Class of 2034. Learning is personal and as your child begins their formal, classroom learning journey, we anticipate discovering with them their strengths, interests and needs.
More than our small class sizes, modern and flexible learning spaces and focus on career, college and life readiness, we are committed to helping each student discover their joy in learning. Take some time to get to know Spring Lake Park Schools and know we are looking forward to getting to know you.

2021 Kindergarten Timeline
January |
Kindergarten ConnectWe host events in January to help families get to know our schools and for us to get to know our new students. Visits to schools can be arranged by contacting the school directly. |
February |
Priority Placement DeadlineThere is a kindergarten priority placement deadline in February. While we accept enrollments throughout the year, spots fill quickly in our Spanish Immersion program and those available to open-enrolled students and intra-district transfer students. A lottery drawing may be used for these limited spots. |
March |
Welcome Letters SentIn late March, we send welcome letters with information from your student’s school. Students who applied for Woodcrest Spanish Immersion or open enrollment should receive an update on their placement at this time as well. |
May |
Kindergarten In ActionKindergarten In-Action is an event for parents and their future kindergartners. You will visit classrooms, go for a bus ride and experience typical activities, which will show you and your child what kindergarten is like. You will have an opportunity to talk more with the principal and classroom staff and turn in any additional enrollment paperwork. Please note, this event is dependent on COVID-19 restrictions at the time and may be subject to change. |
