Meet Principal Elizabeth Linares
Woodcrest Spanish Immersion is a community that is truly dedicated to personalizing learning. That theme courses through every part of our work together. I'm proud to be a part of that, as a leader and a learner.
There are so many moments during the day that leave me feeling fortunate for having this job. If I had to choose one, I'd say it's the beginning of each day when I get to greet students as they arrive at Woodcrest. It's a "fresh start" that we get every day and often the time when I get to connect with individual children about what they're wondering about, and what they're most excited about.
That's easy. It's the kids. District-wide we have made a promise to know each student by name, strength, interest, and need. Each day I have the opportunity to be challenged, inspired, and surprised by what the kids are sharing with me. The fact that I get to do that in two languages makes it even more amazing.
This is a community that is truly dedicated to personalizing learning. That theme courses through every part of our work together. It's a culture of high expectations coupled with enormous support for individual learners of all ages. I'm proud to be a part of that, as a leader and a learner.
