Now, he is part of a two-year apprenticeship program where he works hands-on will earn an associate's degree and graduate debt free. Students like junior Anthony Philavanh are exploring careers that align to their hobbies and interests through pathways classes at Spring Lake Park High School. Through the Technology, Engineering and Design (TED) pathway, Anthony has explored a growing interest in computer science.
Spring Lake Park High School welcomed 118 organizations for its second annual Career Fair. Business, industry, non-profit and military organizations connected with nearly 2,000 students to support career exploration and employment.
Seniors Griffin Gaspersich and Ryan Kollbaum got jobs at local transportation company Blaine Brothers after touring on a school visit. Through the many partnerships that connect high school students with businesses in the community, students are exploring future career paths and landing jobs.
