I have been a teacher in Spring Lake Park Schools for 16 years.

Why did you choose to join Spring Lake Park Schools?
I was born and raised in Spring Lake Park Schools. I have been part of the community for 39 years. The continuous growth and opportunities brought me to teach in the district and to raise my own three children here as well. 

What's the best part of your day, as an employee of Spring Lake Park Schools?
I walk into my pod and am immediately greeted by the most amazing colleagues, Lissa, Tamara and Andy. Each day we help bring out the best in each other by pushing our creativity to the limits, finding the best in each of our students and laughing along the way!  

I also LOVE seeing my students engaged and excited about learning through their own creativity with Project Based Learning. 

Lastly, I am so proud of my own three kids that come home daily and share about their experiences in the district!

What do you do when you're not at work?
When I am not at work, I enjoy being up north with my family. We have a cabin in Danbury, WI where I grew up appreciating the outdoors. I am grateful to be able to share this great experience with my husband, children and two dogs. 

What makes you #SLPPantherProud?
I have felt the Panther Pride since grade school! There's nothing better than sitting in the stands at a Panther football game with students, staff, family and friends. I love cheering on the Panthers with the anticipation of the best dance team around (my 9th grade daughter dances)! #ProudPantherMama
