24 staff members who being recognized for 20 and 30 years of service

Spring Lake Park Schools held its annual Staff Kick-Off event on Tuesday, August 27 where more than 80 new staff members were welcomed to this district.

The kick-off event included a performance by SLP Westwood Intermediate and Middle School Theater Camp students, a welcome message from the 2019 Spring Lake Park Teachers United, Teachers of the Year winners and a motivational keynote speech from Tim Clue, who is an educator, published playwright and nationally recognized comic. Clue used his humor to help build connections through commonality and discomfort among new and returning staff members, with a powerful key message being “Every child is a gift, every child has a gift.”

In addition, 24 staff members received recognition for working in the district for 20 and 30 years. Staff recognized for the years of service include the following:

20 years:
