COVID-19 Testing Locations Image Map of Minnesota

There are several ways – including many that are free – to get tested for COVID-19.

Here are three ways to get tested:

  1. Attend a Minnesota Department of Health community testing event. Appointments are recommended but not necessary. Anyone can get tested, regardless of symptoms. See a full list of Community Testing events.

  2. Look up a testing location near you using the Minnesota Department of Health look-up tool (filter it by county and/or city). Testing locations include health care providers, drug stores and other convenient and free options.

  3. Call your primary care doctor. Sometimes office visits will be charged even though the COVID-19 test will be free. If you have any concerns that symptoms you or your child have are related to an existing medical problem, or you or your child is sick and symptoms do not fit with COVID-19 symptoms, consult the primary care doctor.

Any individual that has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or symptoms must stay home for at least 10 days since symptoms began AND until no fever for at least 1 day without medication AND improvement of other symptoms. Siblings and household members stay home for 14 days. Any individuals who have had close contact with the individual will also stay home/quarantine for 14 days.
