Five Spring Lake Park Eighth Grade Students Participate in Honor Band Festival

Five eighth grade Westwood Intermediate and Middle School band students participated in a day-long Honor Band Festival, sponsored by the Minnesota Band Directors Association – Central Region, on Saturday, January 12 at Elk River High School.

Students had the opportunity to rehearse with Dr. Glenn Pohland during the day and perform a concert that evening for family and friends.

Band students that participated include: Zoe Eckman, trombone; Caden Gagnon, trombone; Preston Nguyen, alto saxophone; Madelyn Thomson, bass clarinet; and Sydne Walker, clarinet.
