On Saturday, May 4, 10 Westwood Intermediate and Middle School fifth and sixth grade band students participated in the Central Region Minnesota Band Director’s Association Beginning Band and Second Year Band Festivals at Monticello Middle School.
The Beginning Band Festival includes players with one year of experience and the Second Year Festival includes players with two years of experience.
Participating Beginning Band Festival students (pictured left to right) include: Charlie Olson, trumpet, Delilah Aguilar, alto saxophone; Ifelouwa Winful, clarinet; Emma Legatt, bass clarinet; and Kareena Buachart, trombone.
Participating Second Year Festival students (pictured left to right) include: Alyssa Newbauer, euphonium; Gage Erickson, percussion; Sven Ericson, bass clarinet; Matteo Miranda, bass clarinet; and Brady Paulson, bass clarinet.
