Child Care

Spring Lake Parks Schools will have free care available for school-aged children whose parents are eligible throughout the school closure. Care is available 6:30 a.m.- 6 p.m. at Centerview, Northpoint and Park Terrace.

Eligibility

This service is available to parents who work in the following areas. Parents will be asked to provide an identification badge or other form of proof of employment at the care site.

  • Healthcare and public health
  • Law enforcement, public safety and first responders
  • Food and agriculture
  • Judicial Branch (essential service)
  • National Guard
  • Educators and school staff providing care for critical workers in these areas
  • Childcare providers caring for children of any critical worker in the Governor's Executive Order
  • Energy
  • Water and Wastewater
  • Transportation and logistics
  • Public works
  • Communications and information technology
  • Other community-based government operations and essential workers
  • Critical manufacturing
  • Hazardous materials
  • Financial services
  • Chemical
  • Defense industrial base
  • Charitable and social services organizations
  • Shelters for displaced individuals
  • State workers essential to the continuation of Minnesota Unemployment Insurance

Registration

If you wish to sign up, please register online.

Children must be registered by 3 p.m. the day before the care is needed so that we can process the registration and prepare for your child’s attendance. We will be in touch with registered families as soon as the location is determined.
