Twelve members of the Spring Lake Park High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter advanced to the state competition after competing at the regional FCCLA competition on Friday, January 11.
Five eighth grade Westwood Intermediate and Middle School band students participated in a day-long Honor Band Festival, sponsored by the Minnesota Band Directors Association – Central Region, on Saturday, January 12 at Elk River High School.
Last month, students at Park Terrace practiced CARES, random acts of kindness by writing thankful letters to others and making blankets and bracelets for children at local hospitals.
Over the past three days, Centerview Elementary hosted STEM Design Days. For two and a half hours, grade levels had the opportunity to learn about the SLP 3D Design Process: Discover, Design and Deliver, and used it to create Rube Goldberg machines.
Northpoint Elementary School third grade students have been learning about budgeting and this week, they participated in Market Days where they created and sold homemade products to their classmates.
