What year did you start working in Spring Lake Park Schools?
2017

Why did you choose to join Spring Lake Park Schools?
When searching for an English Language position, I wanted to find a district where I felt I could learn, grow and feel at home in. Spring Lake Park was that district, with its high expectations and inviting community.

What's the best part of your day, as an employee of Spring Lake Park Schools?
The best part of my day is when students come to my room and want to share about their day or weekend. In working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, it is so fulfilling to see students get curious and learn about each other.

What do you do when you're not at work?
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling. Exploring new places, cultures or having new experiences is a passion I enjoy sharing with my husband. I also like doing DIY projects and cooking.

How do you personalize learning for students?
I personalize learning by building relationships with each student I work with. It is incredibly important for students to have their unique perspective seen as an asset to the learning community. I strive to create meaningful and engaging lessons where students are able to see themselves as successful lifelong learners.
