Two students smiling while helping at the Leo Holiday House at SLPHS

Update - December 17, 2018

The 2018 Leos Holiday House was an overwhelming success! Over 160 kids turned out to shop for their families while enjoying treats and playing fun activities with their families.

A special thank you to everyone who donated items and to the volunteers that made this event happen, including the Spring Lake Park Lions, Leos club and SLP staff.

The Spring Lake Park Holiday House is an annual holiday shopping event, hosted by the Spring Lake Park High School LEOs Club. This event will take place on Thursday, December 13 from 5:30-8 p.m. in the Spring Lake Park High School cafeteria.

Kindergarten through eighth grade shoppers have the opportunity to purchase inexpensive gifts ranging from $1-5 for members of their family.

Each child can purchase up to five gifts. Leo Club and SLP Lions Club members will be on hand to help students purchase and wrap gifts so they can bring them home for the holiday season. Children must be present to shop and be accompanied to the event by an adult. Also, adults and kids will be able to enjoy family friendly activities, holiday treats and music

How you can help:

The event committee is searching for new or like-new gifts that range from $1-5. To donate, please drop-off or mail items to the District Services Center, attention Pete Yelle, 1415 81st Avenue NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432.

Monetary donations are also being accepted and checks can be made out to SLP Leos Club and also sent to the District Services Center, attention Pete Yelle.

Benefiting:

The annual Holiday House is a fundraiser for the SLP LEOs Club, which partners with a variety of local organizations throughout the year. Some organizations the club has worked with include the SLP Panther Pantry, SACA and Feed My Starving Children. The LEO Club also co-hosts an annual multicultural festival, helps with the annual backpack/school supplies project and participates in projects throughout Spring Lake Park Schools such as reading with elementary students.
