Spring Lake Park Schools is hosting a number of events this winter and spring to help current and incoming families prepare for the next steps in their students’ education. Whether you are looking to enroll a student, preparing for a school transition or registering for classes, we hope students and families can join us to learn more.

Families new to the district – schedule a visit today

One of the best ways to get to know Spring Lake Park Schools is to visit. Prospective Families are encouraged to schedule a visit to learn more about our schools, our personalized approach to learning, the path towards career, college and life readiness and the many opportunities available at Spring Lake Park Schools.

Kindergarten Kickoff for the Class of 2036

Enrollment is open at each of our elementary schools. If you missed a “Tour and Talk” event last fall and would like to schedule a tour, contact us. Later this Spring, K in action events at each of our elementary schools will engage our future kindergarteners and their families with fun activities designed to help us get to know each other. Learn more about kindergarten and enroll.

Get to Know Westwood for current 4th grade families

When students finish 4th grade at our elementary schools, they transition to 5th grade at Westwood Intermediate and Middle School. Families and students are invited to attend an Introduction to Westwood session to learn more about the school, the transition to 5th grade and to meet the Westwood team. If your family is new to Westwood, we recommend attending both the online and in-person event.

Attend a virtual session Thursday, January 26

Attend the Westwood Welcome Thursday, February 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Fourth grade students and their families will have an opportunity to visit Westwood in person on February 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees will participate in several topic-specific, small group information sessions, dive into common parent questions and tour the building.

High School Kickoff and Registration for current 8th grade families

Over the coming weeks, there will be opportunities for 8th graders and their families to learn more about Spring Lake Park High School, including course offerings, program options, athletics and activities and graduation requirements. Families and students are welcome to attend these events online or in-person but please note the February 9 event is specifically geared toward 8th graders.

There are several key dates for current families to know about:

  • Monday, January 23: Registration materials, including a registration catalog, interactive course guide and recorded presentations on important topics will be available at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/HSregistration.
  • Monday, January 30: High School registration opens for the 2023-2024 school year. Students register for classes in Infinite Campus.
  • January 31 and February 2: Join an online family information session for a general registration overview. Choose a date that works best for your schedule. Recordings will be available following the event.
  • Wednesday, February 1: High school and middle school counselors will be working directly with 8th graders to introduce them to the high school and create their first 4-year plan. This will be the first step toward registration for next year.
  • Thursday, February 9: High School Kickoff and Registration event for current 8th grade students and families at the high school, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Watch school communication for more info.
  • Friday, February 24: High school registration closes for the 2023-2024 school year.

Registration and Information Sessions for current students in grades 9-11

High school students in 9th, 10th and 11th grade will register for their 2023-2024 classes starting Monday, January 30. Now is the time for students to review course offerings, program options, athletics and activities and graduation requirements.

There are several important dates for families to know about:

  • January 31 and February 2: Join an online family information session for a general registration overview. Choose a date that works best for your schedule. Recordings will be available following the event.
  • Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17: Grade 9-11 in-person registration events. These dates align with conferences. Watch school communication for more info.

  • Friday, February 24: High school registration closes for the 2023-2024 school year.

Tour and Talk events at the high school for prospective students

Prospective students and families who are looking at Spring Lake Park High School are invited to tour and talk at an upcoming event. Choose a date that works with your schedule and register online.

  • Wednesday, February 22 – 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 7 – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 18 – 5 p.m.
