As we continue to live with COVID-19 in our communities, planning the approach to the 2020-21 school year requires managing an evolving set of complexities. We will make a decision for how school will begin this fall by August 14. See an overview of learning models for the year and health and safety measures. Families are asked to provide critical information about distance learning choices and transportation needs by Saturday, August 8.

As Minnesota reported its first case of COVID-19 on March 6, we were headed into spring break. Since then, we’ve learned a lot about resilience, flexibility, creativity and the extraordinary things we can accomplish as Spring Lake Park Schools. As we look ahead to finishing the year in extended flexible learning, we will embrace this as an opportunity with optimism and confidence despite the sadness of not being together.

Weekend Food Pack bags

As school buildings continue to be closed in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Spring Lake Park Schools has been feeding children through meal distribution at 10 sites throughout the community. During the Friday meal distribution, the Spring Lake Park Schools Panther Foundation has provided more than 1,600 Weekend Food Packs to families over the last several weeks.
