Across Spring Lake Park Schools and across grade levels, among friends and seat mates, in the midst of assignments and instructions and collaboration and conversations, there have been sightings of joy. Joy has been spotted at recess, in the lunchroom, during morning meeting time, in hallway exchanges between students and staff and even during math class.
Panther Pride
There are so many reasons to be #SLPPantherProud!
Last fall, senior Owen Adwan was encouraged to attend an apprenticeship open house for Bühler Group. Now, he is part of a two-year apprenticeship program where he works hands-on, will earn an associate's degree and graduate debt free. Hear from Owen how his time at SLP prepared him for this opportunity.
The 2023-2024 school year has begun for students at Spring Lake Park Schools. The first day photo album captured the energy and excitement, big smiles and a few sweet reunions as a new year of learning got underway.
Spring wrapped up another great season of highlights, successes and triumphs for Panther athletics and activities. With six spring girls’ sports, seven spring boys’ sports and more than 50 student-based interest clubs and co-curricular activities at Spring Lake Park High School, our Panthers made us proud
More than 40 students in the Construction Trades course spent the course of the school year learning through real-world, hands-on experience to build a single-family, two-bedroom and two-bathroom house. The students' work is complete and the house is ready to move into the community to become a home.
Congratulations to our staff members who were honored and recognized at the May 16 retirement event. As a learning community, we gather to recognize their tremendous contributions to our schools and community.

Student Anthony Philavanh fostered a natural interest in technology through pathways classes at Spring Lake Park High School. "I think the technology pathway is so broad. There are so many different things that you could use it for. Cyber security...IT...software engineering. It all ties into computer science because you have to understand the principles of how each thing works. No matter what major I might choose in college, it all ties together." Anthony Philavanh, junior
