Spring Lake Park Schools is expanding its online school to all grades, K-12, for the 2021-2022 school year. For 13 years, Spring Lake Park High School students have had the option to learn full-time online. A year of learning through the pandemic has created an interest in the next phase of our district’s approach to online learning – an expansion of our online school to all grade levels, K-12, for the 2021-2022 school year.

The week of March 8-12 is the final week for free meal distribution to the current eight community sites. Starting Tuesday, March 23, free meal pick-up will be available at Spring Lake Park High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. Centerview Elementary is being added as a second meal pick-up location. Spring Lake Park High School is proud to announce senior Madi Ngene as their winner for the 2021 Athena Award for her excellence in athletics as well as in school and community achievements. 

As students return from spring break Tuesday, March 23, all grade levels will be learning at school five days per week. Students in grade 7-12 attending in the Modified Campus (hybrid) model will be the last group to transition to learning at school each day as the third trimester begins.

Update: As of February 2021, Natalie has been moved from semifinalist standing to now a National Merit finalist!

Natalie Horwath, a senior at Lighthouse School for Gifted and Insatiable Learners, has been named a National Merit semifinalist. More than 1.5 million juniors entered the competition last spring by taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT).

The Panther Foundation’s virtual giving event exceeded organizers’ wildest expectations raising over $100,000 for the Panther Pantry and Weekend Food Pack Program.

Panther student-athletes Kaleb Skelly and Nick Wetzel signed their National Letters of Intent on February 3 to play football at the collegiate level during the 2021-2022 school year. Kaleb will play at Northern State University in South Dakota and Nick will play at Mayville State University in North Dakota.

Spring Lake Park Schools students in preschool through sixth grade returned to full-time learning in our school buildings on Thursday, January 21. Planning is underway to transition students in grades 7-12 to a Modified Campus (hybrid) learning model on February 16.
