The school board reviewed the 2020-2021 School Year Plan and approved the a resolution to begin the school year in a Modified Campus Schedule (Hybrid) model and provide full-time distance learning for those who choose it. The board also approved pushing back our school start date to Thursday, September 10, 2020 for all students in grades K-12.
Minnesotans over the age of five are to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and indoor businesses beginning July 25, 2020. This includes school buildings, the district office or while riding school transportation.
Spring Lake Park High School and Anoka High School are excited to welcome Dana Romaker as their new head girls’ hockey coach.
For the 2020-21 school year, John Franke will be principal on special assignment working to scale important district initiatives and supporting effective adaptations as we anticipate changing conditions in the coming school year. Megan Jahnke will become the new associate principal at the high school.
As we continue to live with COVID-19 in our communities, planning the approach to the 2020-21 school year requires managing an evolving set of complexities. Families are asked to provide critical information about distance learning choices and transportation needs by Saturday, August 8.
There are a number of options for families in our community seeking food assistance this summer. The purpose of these programs is to make meals available to all area children who may otherwise not eat properly or often enough.
