At the secondary level, competency-based learning is an approach that aims to deliver the grade AND the skills students can authentically apply to real situations.
The journey of the emerging reader is a transformation much like that of caterpillar to butterfly. As news headlines and legislative actions focus on the science of reading, Spring Lake Park Schools is in its third year of implementing new resources aligned with practices to help more butterflies take flight.
Chef Patty, a seasoned culinary instructor at Spring Lake Park High School since 2022, fosters a bustling classroom environment where students learn foundational and global cuisine skills, alongside life skills. The program integrates two career and college pathways, enriching students' understanding of the food industry.
Academic calendars for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years have been approved by the school board.
