What year did you start working in Spring Lake Park Schools?
2014

Why did you choose to join Spring Lake Park Schools?
I was able to meet welcoming educators in the Spanish immersion program that supported me and introduced me to the awesome job of teaching elementary school in Spanish!

What's the best part of your day, as an employee of Spring Lake Park Schools?
I love seeing my students make connections and finally "get it." I love it when they show their best selves and rise to meet a challenge— when they invest themselves in their learning and I get to cheer them on as they reach their goals!

What do you do when you're not at work?
I love cooking and visiting new restaurants with my husband, David. I love playing board games, spending time with my friends (including many from work!) and family, cuddling my pup, Jax, and playing the guitar. I also like to stay active and enjoy dancing.

How do you personalize learning for students?
I personalize learning by giving students "voice and choice." Letting students have a say in their learning makes a huge difference in their engagement. I also personalize learning by differentiating activities to students' interests, readiness and needs.

What makes you #SLPPantherProud?
I am #SLPPantherProud because we are a learning community that is always striving to move forward, to innovate and to learn from today in order to create a better tomorrow. I'm grateful to be a part of a supportive community and team that challenges me to be my best and champions the best of who I am.
