How long have you worked in Spring Lake Park Schools?
This is my 23rd year in the district.

Why did you choose to join Spring Lake Park Schools?
I grew up in Spring Lake Park and graduated from the high school in 1989. I have always loved the community! I felt it was a great place to teach, raise my family, be part of the growing community that I will always call my home.

What's the best part of your day, as an employee of Spring Lake Park Schools?
The best part of my day is when the children start walking through the door. I love connecting with them during our morning meeting. I love learning about each student as an individual and build that caring community in my classroom. Students are able to start building those relationships when they can connect with each other. This is key as we move into cooperative learning where they learn from and support each other.

What do you do when you're not at work?
When I have time, I love to cook and bake. I am a Panther fan as well. I support my own children as a spectator for swimming, football, theater, and band. Go Panthers!

What makes you #SLPPantherProud?
It is really exciting to work in a school district where teachers are given opportunities to design engaging lessons for our student population. We are encouraged and expected to try new things daily.
