What grade did you start attending SLP Schools?

What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Spring Lake Park High School?

SLP Girls' Tennis, Science Olympiad, Knowledge Bowl, NHS, BSU, Pep Band. Panther Mentors, Track and Field, SLP Boys' Tennis Team Manager

What teacher or teachers have had the biggest impact on your educational journey and why?

Ms. Gressman has held the biggest impact on my education. Physics has always been hard for me, but she made the class entertaining and now it is my favorite subject. She pushes me to improve and is always there to help out whether it be in physics or in life. I do not plan on pursuing a career in science, but now I have a greater appreciation for the field. Ms. Gressman has made me realize how imperative it is to take physics in order to develop a greater understanding of the world around us.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan on attending Marquette University and majoring in secondary education with a focus on history as well as minoring in Spanish.

How has Spring Lake Park Schools prepared you for your future?

For the past 13 years Spring Lake Park Schools has provided me with a safe place to learn and grow as a person. The school's motto is "High expectations. High achievements for all. No excuses." The teachers and faculty of SLP embody this motto and make sure that everyone feels important and capable of fulfilling their potential. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I will carry myself to these standards and always try my very best.

What advice do you have for incoming ninth grade or students new to Spring Lake Park High School?

High school goes by very fast so live in the moment. Do not dwell on the past or let the fear of the future prevent you from pursuing your goals. Participate in clubs even if you don't know anybody. The best memories are one where two strangers become lifelong friends. Remember to work hard and try your best. Grades are important but they do not define you. Embrace everything you learn at SLPHS and remember that life always finds a way to work out in the end.

What makes you SLP Panther Proud?

I am SLP Panther Proud because we have a strong sense of community within the school and lots of school spirit. All clubs and activities get recognized for their achievements and are open to all individuals. I am grateful to be part of such an accepting group of students and staff.
