Spanish Immersion

At Spring Lake Park Schools, personalized Spanish Immersion learning spans preschool through high school and results in graduates who can listen, read, speak and write in Spanish and English.

In our immersion programming, we focus our approach to personalized learning on creating bilingual and biliterate high school graduates through programming that spans the entire preK-grade 12 experience.

Students develop proficiency in Spanish in the younger grades by listening to and using the language to learn all school subjects, rather than only studying a language by itself. By the 5th grade, most students are functionally proficient in writing, reading and speaking in Spanish. By high school, students have opportunities to take Spanish courses for college credit.
