Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)

Where you and your child learn and grow together!

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is for all families with children between the ages of birth and kindergarten. The program recognizes that families provide children’s first and most important learning environments and parents are children’s first and most significant teachers.

ECFE strengthens families through the education and support of all parents to provide the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of their children. The programs bring parents together to share the joys and challenges of parenthood and develop confidence in their own abilities.

The ECFE class experience is as easy as 1, 2, 3.......!

1. Together Time

Families are free to explore the classroom filled with learning activities and enjoy art, free play, songs, and stories together.

2. Parent’s Time

Adults join together with a licensed family educator to share ideas and concerns, discuss the challenges of being a parent and feel encouraged by the support of other parents.

3. Children’s Time

Children remain with at least two staff to learn, play and have snack together while the parents are in discussion.

Early Childhood Advisory Council

Parent input is essential to the success of our programs and the Early Childhood Advisory Council is a highly-valued resource. This group of interested Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and Preschool parents helps to plan and coordinate special events. They also help set the direction of the program and advocate for early childhood. Joining the Advisory Council is a wonderful opportunity to enhance and support early learning in Spring Lake Park Schools. Contact our office if you are interested, 763-600-5900.

I don't know where my family would be without ECFE. We love it!
