Spring Lake Park Schools Facilities Planning Project
The Spring Lake Park Schools Facilities Planning Project is a multi-year study that began in summer 2010 to examine the need for additional facilities to accommodate projected enrollment growth. In spring 2015, the Community Facilities Design team, comprised of 70 community members, parents, business leaders, students and staff met for nearly 30 hours over five meetings. The Design Team’s work resulted in facilities design principles that were used both in developing the projects to be included in the 2016 bond proposal and in the design of the resulting facilities projects. The $49.95 million bond referendum was overwhelmingly approved by district voters in April 2016. Planning and design work began in May 2016, and will continue for the next several years.
