Every other Thursday throughout the school year, parents will receive a Parent Connections email containing district information, staff and student accomplishments, upcoming events, Community Education information and more. Each school will post a newsletter on their website under Parents – News and email it home on most weeks throughout the school year. Online access to student information
Schoology and Campus Parent Portal
The district has two ways for parents to access information about their students through online access. The first way for parents to access information is through Schoology, which is a learning management system used in classrooms on a daily basis. Parents can view classroom and course updates, assignments, grades on assignments and tests, and communication from individual teachers. There is a link to Schoology in the SLP mobile app. Learn more and login at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/Schoology.
The second is the Campus Parent Portal. Parents can use it to view information about your student’s class schedules, attendance, end of trimester grades, transportation and transcripts. Some the information in Campus Parent Portal can also be viewed by logging into the SLP mobile app. Learn more and login at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/ParentPortal.
Along with Schoology, many teachers also use a variety of apps such as Seesaw and Remind to communicate directly with parents. Check with your child’s teacher to learn more about how these tools are used to communicate from the classroom level.
