Senior Liz Bradley signing her National Letter of Intent and swinging a golf club

Spring Lake Park High School senior Liz Bradley signed her National Letter of Intent with Lander University in South Carolina. She will continue her education at Lander and participate on the women’s golf team next year.

“I committed to Lander University because it is a perfect fit for me in terms of the ability to balance academics while also getting to play golf at the collegiate level,” says Liz. “I did a lot research into the business and golf programs and was really impressed by both.”

During her time as a golf player at SLPHS, Liz has been a two-time varsity letter recipient.

Tom Benson, head Panther girls’ golf coach, said Lander University is very fortunate to add a player with Liz’s character, team spirit, academic excellence and skill.

“Liz has a true passion for playing golf and has worked very hard over the years on her development, concentrating on the more detailed components of her game,” says Tom. “She has worked herself into being a very complete player from tee to green and I’m looking forward to watching her showcase herself this spring in the Northwest Suburban Conference and next year at Lander University.”

As she nears graduation and looks forward to the next phase of her life, Liz reflected on her time at SLP and says she is proud to be a Panther because of the encouraging and helpful environment that SLP provided her.

“The past four years that I have spent at Spring Lake Park have prepared me for my future by helping me building relationships and life skills and have pushed me to be a leader,” says Liz. “I am so thankful for everything SLP has given me.”

Congratulations and good luck, Liz!

Additional Panther student-athletes may also sign national letters of intent over the next several months. The SLPHS athletics and activities department hopes to recognize these students next spring with an in-person event.
