The Pantherettes team smiling after placing second in high kick and jazz at the Section 3AAA championship

Update - The Pantherettes placed 10th in jazz and 9th in high kick at the state tournament last weekend. Congratulations on another outstanding season!

The Spring Lake Park High School dance team placed second in both jazz and high kick at the Section 3AAA championship on Saturday, February 9, earning them a trip to the state tournament for the 15th consecutive year.

Coming into the season, the Pantherettes main goal was to have a “team first” mindset. The team accomplished this goal by holding each other accountable, creating more team goal setting and building a positive environment to push themselves to new heights. The team consists of nine seniors, all hoping to lead their team to success.

As they prepare for the state tournament this week, the Pantherettes are focusing on working hard, having fun and bonding as a team.

“My hopes for this state tournament are that we can come together and have the best performances of our season,” said Jenny Whiteley, head coach of the Pantherettes. “I want nothing more than to walk off that state floor proud of what we did.”
