For the third straight year, the Spring Lake Park High School boys’ basketball team has won the 5AAAA academic section championship.

The criteria for this award is to have a better overall team GPA than the other seven teams in the 5AAAA section.

This year, the Panther team GPA for all 18 players on the section roster was a 3.16.

“We are very proud of our third straight academic section championship,” said head boys’ basketball coach Grant Guzy. “We once again have a great group of athletes who get it done on the court as well as in the classroom.”
