What teacher or teachers have had the biggest impact on your educational journey?
I have had so many wonderful things and supportive teachers through my years at Spring Lake Park, and I cannot be thankful enough for their positive impact on my life. However, the person who influenced me the most was my 10th grade APUSH teacher, Mr. Meier. He is the most passionate and caring person I have ever met and was always there to support his students. He inspired me to become the person I am today, and I will be forever grateful for how much he taught me.

What's your favorite school memory?
My most cherished memories of school will always be walking into theatre rehearsal after a long day. Working on a show—whether it was on-stage or off—was such an exhilarating experience because of the community and rush of adrenaline that came with it.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am planning to attend Northwestern University's School of Communication as a theatre major and audition for their Musical Theatre Certificate program in the fall.

How has Spring Lake Park Schools prepared you for your future?
Spring Lake Park Schools has prepared me for the future by teaching me to work towards and pursue what I want in life, and to create my own path.

What advice do you have for incoming ninth graders or students new to Spring Lake Park High School?
Push yourself to be the best that you can, and constantly work to improve, without comparing yourself to others. There are people out there that love and support you, so don't be afraid to ask for help and be yourself.

What are you doing to stay busy during the pandemic?
When I'm not doing schoolwork, I'm sewing masks, drawing, knitting and playing Animal Crossing New Horizons.
