What grade did you start attending SLP Schools?
Preschool

What activities were you involved in while you were a student at Spring Lake Park High School?

I have been Captain of the bowling team since 7th grade

What teacher or teachers have had the biggest impact on your educational journey?
Mrs. Hatchner, Mr. DeLong and Mr. Olmsheid have all had huge impacts on my education. All of them have been there for me when I needed it the most. When my grandpa passed away Mr. Olmsheid was very considerate and continued to be a person I could go to with any problem I had. Both Mr. DeLong and Mrs. Hatchner were both big people in helping me get through the passing of my friend Ashlyn. These three teachers have helped shape me not only into the student I am but also the person I am becoming and I will forever be grateful for them.

What's your favorite school memory?
My favorite high school memory would be having my teachers come up to me and tell me how they did when they went bowling or ask me about my bowling tournaments. It always made me smile and made me know they were thinking about me outside of the classroom.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan on attending St. Ambrose university located in Davenport, Iowa to pursue a major in criminal justice and a minor in Spanish.

How has Spring Lake Park Schools prepared you for your future?
The staff at Spring Lake Park Schools really care about their students and make sure that they are not only prepared for a continued education but also for life beyond school. My teachers have taught me so many lessons by sharing stories about their lives to help prepare me for mine.

What advice do you have for incoming ninth graders or students new to Spring Lake Park High School?
I would say to always talk to your teachers. I promise having teachers that you can talk to like they are your best friend is way better than never saying a word. They want to talk to you and know about what you're doing. Also, join a club or a sport because it will make you feel like you have a family away from yours.

What makes you SLP Panther Proud?
I'm SLP Panther Proud because I was able to be apart of a school where the teachers and staff became my friends and my biggest supporters. I will never be able to thank them enough for the continued support and advice I've received throughout my time at SLP.
