Boys Volleyball

We will be fully sanctioned by the MSHSL officially the 2025 season. This means for this transition season we will be under the umbrella of the MSHSL Code of Conduct. All players will be expected to act and conduct themselves under this code and our SLP Boys’ Volleyball Club Code of Conduct adopted in November of 2022.

Varsity selection will be 8-10 players and be focused on positional needs as well as the highest level of skill at each position. Players will be passionate about learning strategies of the game and dedicated on improving themselves to become the best they can possible be. They will be able to be supportive of their teammates and be able meet the needs of the team and be able to engage in an positive attitude and contribute towards creating chemistry to be successful. And above all have fun playing the game! All varsity members are expected to block off their calendars and be available for all competitions and weekend tournaments. Some emergency exceptions will of course be considered for absences.

Junior Varsity will be 8-10 players who may move to varsity at any time. They will be passionate about learning about strategies of the game and dedicated on improving themselves to become the best they can possible be. And be able to be supportive of their teammates and have fun playing!

B/C Squad players are inexperienced players with a passion to learn the skills to improve and have fun. They too should all be dedicated to becoming the best they can be as a player and a teammate.

Participants are solely responsible for the organization and funds involved in running this program. It is still under CLUB status for the 2024 season and can only function with the help of all players and parents. Our district and our Athletic Director, Will Wackman, are all on board helping through this final year of transition. We still need all families and EVERY player to step up and help. Please find time for you, your parents and/or guardians to help volunteer for various fundraising activities. Your registration fees will only cover a small portion of our total costs. If you are concerned with the cost, stop by the Athletic office, and ask. There are always some ways the district can help with covering individual costs if it is necessary.

A big thank you to our Booster Board members! The extra work with fundraising and our very first “end of the season banquet” was a great success last year! Additional board members are needed for the upcoming season and beyond. Anyone with knowledge of additional resources to help fund raise are encouraged to participate as a board member.
