Extended Flexible Learning
Spring Lake Park Schools extended flexible learning days are an opportunity for students to continue learning at home when school buildings are closed for extended periods of time. When closing school buildings is necessary, extended flexible learning days support the continuation of learning for our students. During extended flexible learning days, students are expected to participate in instruction using Schoology or Seesaw.
All schools in Minnesota have a required amount of active, teacher-facilitated learning time for students. In the event that we have to close school for an extended period of time, our practices in Spring Lake Park Schools aligns with the Minnesota Department of Education guidelines for this, including that students engaged in extended flexible learning have access to appropriate educational materials, and receive daily interactions with their licensed teacher(s).
