Five members of the Spring Lake Park High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter received gold and silver rankings at the National FCCLA competition in Atlanta, Georgia on July 3.

Spring Lake Park High School Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and FCCLA student organization advisor Lori Henry was recognized for the Lead Teacher award of the Lead2Feed challenge, which demonstrated SLP’s FCCLA team leadership and creativity for their service project.
Spring Lake Park High School’s spring musical, Pippin, is being honored as an outstanding performance by the Hennepin Theater Trust Spotlight Musical Theatre Program. The musical was recognized for overall production, performance and individuals for their exceptional achievement onstage.
Five Spring Lake Park High School adapted bowlers participated in the State Adapted Bowling Tournament at Bowlero in Brooklyn Park.
Spring Lake Park High School senior Jessica Figueroa has been selected to receive the Gateway Scholarship from the University of Minnesota. This scholarship is worth up to $50,000 over four years, beginning in fall 2018.
Spring Lake Park High School student Meghan has been selected as one of 42 women named to the 2018 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleading team.
