This Accountability section is our continuous report to the community -- updated throughout the year -- which provides a valuable source of information on the school district’s progress, accomplishments, future plans, and challenges.
You'll find common sense answers to commonly asked questions; updates on professional learning initiatives; student assessments and results; snapshots of the accomplishments, priorities, and demographics of each school; and information on the strategic areas of Enaged and Enthusiastic Learners, Effective Operations, and Communications & Connections.
This site also represents our Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Performance which utilizes assessment data from the 2011-12 school year.
A profile of each of our schools
A snapshot of each school is provided in this section, including a summary of assessment data, priorities and projects, strategic areas for improvement, desired results for continuous improvement, demographics, and school highlights.
We have defined indicators of success within five strategic areas - our scorecards - that serve as district and school tools of accountability and continuous improvement. Initiatives and projects are identified within each area that will directly or indirectly improve student learning.

What is Accountability?
In the Spring Lake Park School District, accountability is about aligning the daily work of our staff around continuously improving student learning, and then sharing progress with parents and community members. It is about using data, research, training, results, reporting, and two-way communication.
