SLPHS has been ranked 38th out of 760 Minnesota high schools in the 2016 “Best High Schools” list by U.S. News and World Report magazine.
Spring Lake Park Schools will again participate in the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to all children ages 1-18 at Spring Lake Park High School.
Honors students in Sarah Nimlos’s eighth grade language arts class spent months working on their Masterpiece Projects–books they spent hours researching, writing and editing. The freedom to write creatively motivated students to work extremely hard on their stories.
Throughout the school year, Northpoint first graders have made regular visits to the senior living facility Edgewood. To continue the “kindness is contagious” school-wide theme, first graders made and delivered May Day baskets to Edgewood Senior Living residents last week.

Westwood eighth grader Robinson recently played the role of “Older Ruby” in the Steppingstone Theater production Ruby!
Students at Westwood Intermediate participated in a week-long Global Service Project April 18-22 called “Westwood Steps Up to…Be the Change.” The project was a fundraiser to support Haiti with educating community members about health.
Earlier this year, students in Melissa Gustafson’s first grade class designed buildings out of blocks for their first Idea/Design Day. For her students’ second Idea/Design Day, Gustafson wanted to incorporate Earth Day and recycling into the project.
