Parking Permits
Don't forget to renew your trimester parking permit by Tuesday, Nov. 25 @ 2:45 pm.  Permits are only renewed at the shed in the student parking lot.  Any unrenewed permits will be sold to new students starting Dec. 1.
 
Nordic Ski Team
The Nordic ski meet today is at Long Lake Park. Skiers, see Mr Miller for directions if you need them.
 
Mock Trial
There will be a mock trial practice Saturday, tomorrow from 10-12 in Mrs. Moll's room.
 
WIN PRIZES!- Bookmark Contest-  DUE TODAY!!
Enter the Real Men Read bookmark contest.  Design a book mark 2"x8", hand drawn or computer generated, with the "Real Men Read" as your theme.  Bookmarks are due TODAY Friday, Nov. 21st in the Media Center.
 
 FCCLA Members: Candy Bar money is due TODAY, Friday, to Miss Henry.
 
 Volleyball Players
Attention volleyball players! Uniforms are still missing! Drop them off in Coach Johnson's room North campus 56. Want to order either the varsity Panaramic ($25) or a DVD ($5) of the Banquet Video? Stop by Coach Johnson's room to place an order for one by Friday, November 21.

Ski & Snowboard Club
The Ski & Snowboard Club membership and registration flyers are now available at the High School security desks. Sign up now for another exciting season of ski and snowboarding.
 
 Australia
Registration is now open for the June 2010 tour to Australia (and New Zealand and Hawaii). Information is available in Room 505!
 
Alex Schulte Benefit-A benefit will be held for Alex on November 29th from 3 to 11 at Spring Lake Park High School Cafeteria. The following activities will be included at the benefit.
Dinner: Catered by Joe Senser's (6 pm -8 pm)
$15.00 for adults. $10.00 for students, 10 and Under are free. RSVP to Sue Kvidera 
Poker Tournament: It is helpful if you pre-register at www.helpalexnow.com (3-4 registration, 4-10 play)
Silent Auction: There are many items that will close hourly from 7 - 10
Games & Activities: There will be carnival games with prizes for the younger children
Raffle Prize Drawing: $5.00 per ticket. Prizes include Complete Home Theater, Laptop Computer, 42" Plasma TV, and dozens of other prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the door or through Sue Kvidera. Please let me know if you have any questions!

FCCLA:
FCCLA Officers Meeting-Thursday during D lunch time. Meet in the cafeteria by the exit serving line.

FCCLA Meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 2:40pm in the Foods Room. We are still welcoming new members!
 
FCCLA members are selling candy bars to help raise money for our region and state competitions. The candy bars are $1.00 and all FCCLA members have them OR you can by them from Miss Henry in Room 51 of the North Campus. Thanks for your support!
 
GSA
The Spring Lake Park High School GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) is starting up again this year. They will be meeting on Wednesdays at 2:45 in room 425. For more information, see Ms. Magid Hart in the Counseling Office.
 
Join the Yearbook Staff
Yearbook meetings are on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 50 (north building) at 2:40-3:00 pm....thursdays are computer days.

Sophomore Senate:
Sophomores come get involved and have some fun. Sophomore Senate will meet on Mondays at 2:30 pm in Room 434 (across for Mr. Olson's room).  
 
Wondering Women Book Club
Wondering Women Book Club meets every Tuesday after school in the library. 2:40 - 3:30.

S.A.L.S.A. Meeting:

Join S.A.L.S.A.. the Student Alliance for Leadership in Social Action! This club is for everyone who wants to learn and use their leadership skills to create change in school, in the community, and in the world.

Senior Baby Pictures: Due on November 25th NO EXCEPTIONS! NO ORIGINALS unless brought in with a self addressed envelope to be returned. Any size picture in a sealed envelope with a message of 30 words or less. Anything longer WILL be shortened. Also enclose $15 cash/check payable to SLPHS. You may also e-mail the baby picture to mahrnd@district16.org Any pictures e-mailed will not be included in the year book until the $15 cost is paid. Please bring pictures and money to Mrs. Ahrndt in room KH 50 or the Main Office located in the North Campus.

The University of Minnesota Health Career Center's Scrubs, Gloves and Microscopes program is a hands-on health career exploration opportunity for students in grades 9-12. There is one half-day session per month in one of these health care fields.

Lunch Info
Student must have money in their accounts before 10 am daily for lunch on that day. Breakfast is $1.20 milk included. Lunch is $2.45, inlcudeds milk. Extra milk is $.50.

Parking Permits 2008-2009
 Attention Sophomores! Parking Permits Available!
Here's a first!  As of Monday, Oct. 20th, Sophomores will be eligible to purchase parking permits for the student parking lot!  Please see Parking permit guidelines below.  Only 12 permits are still available for the rest of the school year.  Permits are distributed on a first come first serve basis, please see Cheri in the guard shack .
 
 *****12 Parking Permits are available. Please remember that there will be "NO PARKING" at Able Park this winter. Able Park will be closed when the temperatures drop and the lot will become an ice rink. After these 12 permits are sold, there will be no additional year or trimester permits available. Some daily parking will be available at $3.00 a day.

Students need to complete the necessary paperwork, pay the entire fee, and present a valid Minnesota Driver's License. Please note that any outstanding parking fines must be paid before a permit will be issued. See attendant in the student lot.
All vehicles parked in the student parking lot must have a permit; those without permits will be ticketed.

Fees for 2008-2009
Annual/Yearly $130.
Trimester $65.
Limited Tri use**$35. **Limited use permits are valid for a specific 3-hour (or less) time period
