Two-Hour Early Release Day
This is an "Early Release Day," a day when students are dismissed two hours earlier than the normal end of the school day. Note: there will be no afternoon kindergarten on this day. Thursday's Early Release Day precedes a long weekend in which Friday is already a student vacation day.
On Thursday afternoon and on Friday, Oct. 12, teachers will participate in a full agenda of professional learning activities that include college readiness, technology training, school improvement planning, studying student assessment data and planning interventions to address learning needs at the classroom and team level, increasing classroom-home communications through teacher web pages, focus on the writing process, and conference preparation.
