KSTART for incoming kindergarten students

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Students and their parents have two opportunities to meet their kindergarten teachers for the upcoming school year.

• Elementary School Meet & Greets
  Northpoint, Park Terrace, Woodcrest
  Wednesday, August 29, 4:30 - 6:00 pm

  Spanish Immersion at Westwood
  Thursday, August 30, 5:00 - 6:00 pm

• KSTART for Kindergarten Students
  Tuesday, Sept. 4 for Kindergarten Plus (K+)
  Tuesday, Sept. 4 or Wednesday, Sept. 5 for AM/PM Kindergarten

To transition smoothly and best prepare all of our kindergartners for their first year, we will be holding Kindergarten Students Transition And Readiness Time (KSTART) meetings on September 4 and 5.

At your scheduled meeting, each student and their parents will be able to put away school supplies, greet new friends, participate in a classroom meeting, take part in learning center activities, and meet individually with their child's teacher to share hopes and dreams for their child for the upcoming school year. The 1-hour small group experience with five or six classmates will be a great way to successfully start the school year. Following each KSTART meeting, students and their families will be given a school tour to become more familiar with their new surroundings. 

A welcome letter with the student's sheduled meeting time will be mailed the week of August 20.
