Leon Ding competes in national math tournament as member of a MN All-Star Team

On Saturday June 2, Spring Lake Park High School junior Leon Ding participated in the American Regions Mathematics League (ARML) national math tournament as a member of one of three Minnesota All-State Teams.
Each year, ARML holds a national contest pitting teams from throughout the United States. The hundreds of participating teams are state all-star teams or city or school all-star teams.
Leon competed on Minnesota’s “Maroon” team (the others were “Gold” and White). Due to the team’s success in the past, it was moved from division B to the top division A this year. If the team had remained in division B, it would have placed 6th overall in this national math tournament.
Congratulations to Leon who tied for high score on his Minnesota All-State Team.
