School Safety
The safety and security of each and every student and staff member is “Priority One” in District 16. Emergency preparedness plans, procedures, and personnel are in place. The district has a Crisis Management Team and comprehensive plans for staff to follow in the event of emergency situations of all kinds. Strong connections exist between our schools and local police, fire, and other public safety agencies. A new upcoming section of the website will soon provide pertinent good-to-know information about school safety in District 16 including safety tips and resources.
