District receives award for financial reporting

Amy Schultz, District 16 director of business services (left), received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting, on behalf of the district and business office, from Colleen Vranish, School Board chairperson.

The Spring Lake Park School District is one of about 20 school districts in Minnesota to be honored for excellence in financial reporting.

At the Sept. 9 School Board meeting, the district received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials - International. The district is a multiple-winner of this ward, most recently for it's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2007.
