Volunteers Needed

Secretary and At Large Puckster Board Member (2 At-Large positions available)-

Attend board meetings at Fogerty on the first Monday of each month from 7-9pm and help make the decisions that impact the team, and provide your input.  Meetings are low key with a great group of people.  Come see what it is about at our next board meeting on May 5th at 7pm in the Fogerty Conference Room, and decide after attending.  Contact Kevin (contact info is on the Pucksters page) with any questions.

Concessions Stand Booth

We need 5 people to staff the concessions booths at the SLP High School.  The shift is about two to three hours long.  The various booster clubs staff the concessions during sports events and then split the profits.  Last year we received $600 for our time. 

• 1/22, 5-7pm - need 2 people for boys basketball game
• 1/22, 7-9pm - need 2 people for boys basketball game

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Team Dinners-

Team Dinners are held four to six times during the season at the Fogerty Conference Room immediately following practices.  Three to five volunteers are needed for each team dinner to prepare and serve the meal.  Please contact Chris if you are interested in volunteering.

• Jan 19th - 3:00pm

Alumni Night - Dec 18th game

Volunteers are needed to contact alumni, arrange food, set up and clean up.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Parent & Senior Night - Jan 31st game

Volunteers are needed to arrange food, set up and clean up.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Skate with the Panthers - Jan 2, 5:30-7:15pm

Two volunteers work with two volunteers from boys high school hockey and youth hockey representatives.  Skate with the Panthers is an annual event where the high school hockey teams open skate with youth from the area to encourage youth hockey.  High schoolers sign autographs, open skate with the youth, and everyone enjoys pizza and pop.  Volunteers coordinate the ice times, arranges for the pizza and pop, and arranges to have a group picture taken.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Banquet - March 1

Bingo -

SLPYHA runs bingo every Tuesday night from 7-9pm at Time Out in Blaine.  SLPYHA donates a portion of their gambling proceeds to our team each year.  Three volunteers are needed each night.  The Girls team is responsible for staffing October.  If you would like to volunteer please see the SLPYHA site for more information.

 

Other Ways to Help

Program Ads -

We are looking for local businesses to place ads and/or coupons in our annual team program.  Prices vary depending on the size of the ad.  Please contact Chris if you would like more information on placing an ad.

Paper Products for Carbo Loads -

Have any paper products that you could donate?  We need paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware, plastic banquet tables tablecloths, and cups for the carbo loads.  Please let Chris know if you have any of these items available.
